Hardware warranty: individual hardware components are covered under the respective component maker's warranty. This gives you maximum warrant coverage available on system components. Compare this to our larger competitors that use "OEM" parts or other "unique system-builder specific" part numbers and the like that, in the event of requiring a warranty replacement or service, force you to obtain component warranty coverage through the system-provider.
We believe in using mainstream "retail" or "boxed" standard components and parts whenever possible (versus only focusing on profit-margins), so that you get the full benefit of the component-makers' warranty (which in some cases, like graphics cards e.g., can be "lifetime"). Contrast our approach to that of a place like Dell for example, where even though you thought you had a "standard" Nvida card or Seagate hard-drive or such with nice long-term warranties, you find out otherwise when you call the manufacturer directly and they inform you that you must deal with Dell (who, unless you purchased an extended warranty, will not cover your otherwise warranted part if outside of their standard one-year warranty term or such). We believe our approach is a win-win for you!
Software Warranties and Upgrade-ability: all software we sell comes with the software publishers' warranty. And, all software is eligible for the makers' normal upgrade rates should you ever need to upgrade. If purchasing an Operating System or other software product from us that comes with physical media (CD, DVD, books, etc), we ship you all originals of such media with your purchase (and, as such, you must keep track of your licenses upon reciept of them.)
